Photographic documentation of modernist architecture forms the basis of my work. I create character and depth in my work by juxtaposing the stark exterior of architectural structures with organic forms, resulting in pieces that have a slightly unreal and melancholic presence. Through transferring my photographs to surface through the use of photocopy and digital print allows images to be built with the tactile aesthetic associated with painting.For the degree show, I have worked on a large scale, working with images that depict powerful and intense structural forms, which become ethereal and seductive through their presentation as art.
