Evelina Gilyte
For my final major project I created the capital letters’ type, which was based on Imre Reiner lino works. I designed a book, which was used to show this type.
To show how it looks in the text, I had choice some artists quotes and wrote them in my created letters. Of course it’s quite hard to read, but it was created not exactly for a text writing, but for more decorative purpose.
The quotes were putted into a book. Inside of book was used only black and white colours. It’s because I wanted that reader would be more concentrated on the letters and text, than on a colour. Paper was choice to put more interest on letters too. Because for the letters’ forms I decided to use quite thick paper, that it wouldn’t see through.
The cover with the box are very different from inside of book. It has to get the reader’s attention, for this reason I had choice bright red colour and fabric. The book’s cover has the lino print all over, which makes it more interesting.
