Olympic Games 2012, Effects on the economy

After a lot of thought and consideration on topics of interest for my final major project I decided to use the Olympic games. I first looked into the controversy which surrounded the event in past years, often involving finance. From this I began looking into financial issues of the 2012 games as there was a lot of speculation regarding the budget as it is now over four times the original proposal. Relating this to my research of past games to get an idea of how the 2012 Games could potentially turn out for us. I found this really interesting and continued to research further finding out about the 2012 host town, Stratford. Divulging into what sort of area it is and taking into consideration the effects the Olympics may have on the current economy, and generally trying to relate promises that won us the bid for the games, to outcomes from past Olympics.

All of my vector images were created in illustrator. The booklet layout was designed in InDesign using a 5 column grid which I loosely followed giving the booklet structure yet allowing the best possible layout on a small scaled document, which was inspired by a cheque book.
