Sasha Stoker
Throughout the degree I have developed an increasing interest in illustrating and writing for children. I feel I produce my best work when I create both the story and imagery. This gives me the sense of freedom that I prefer as my work often tightens when I feel restricted by a piece of text. I draw my ideas from my dreams and the wonderful imagination of children. I also incorporate drawing from observation as I find this helps to bring the dream to life. I use mainly pastel and graphite in my process extracting rather than adding to create an image.
