Final Animation
My animation work reflects my love for mark-making, by using primarily hand drawn techniques. I enjoy rough hand drawn animation, where noise and pencil work is noticeably apparent. I have experimented with a range of different methods throughout my 3 year course, from paper-cut heavily After Effects based animation to stop motion, constantly challenging myself to learn new techniques and programmes.
My art has been influenced by African, Eastern European and Asian cultures, having lived in South Africa and Hungary and having travelled around East Asia.
The work of artists such as Banksy, “MUTO” and “Painthead” has had an impact on my work, as well as inspiring my interest in creating tattoo art, music inspired art and street art. Pieces that appeal most to me are ones with meaning and humour rather than solely concentrating on aesthetic appeal.
Whilst I would be particularly interested in getting involved in musically inspired art, which would include designing music posters or creating music videos, I would passionately pursue any opportunity that allows me to use my art and illustration skills and will allow me to further develop my artistic creativity.
