The collection ‘A Collapsed Form’ for Spring/Summer 2011 showcases the relationship between fashion and art. The square is manipulated through the use of pleats into sculptured shapes. A Collapsed Form takes clothing and flat packs them. When the piece is worn these sculptural shapes are maintained and do not react to the movements of the body. The pleats create added volume and alter the fit of the piece. Clothing no longer needs a hanger; flat packed they can fit anywhere and everywhere. A Collapsed Form is art.
