Nancy Whitehead
I have always had a passion for realist painting and ‘Photorealism’ in particular. Although my paintings may seem similar to this approach, my goal is not to be bound by, or simply reproduce, a photograph faithfully, but also to find ways of creating an illusion of depth, and sense of presence not found in photographic documents. Many of my paintings are about the relationship of colour and light produced by reflective surfaces. Recently my subject matter has been based around London attempting to capture the day-to-day street scenes with their changing light, hopefully to communicate something unique to the viewer.

It is best to try and contact her on the e-mail address she has provided here. The website doesn’t keep contact information on file for previous students but it perhaps it might be worth contacting the Anglia Ruskin alumni service and they may be able to assist you.
