Sarah Wood
Inspired by a wide array of interests including Victoriana, 1940s/50s/60s design, erotica and fashion, coinciding with an interest in exploring themes of beauty and sexuality; my work is predominantly pencil based and then digitally enhanced through photoshop. I am particularly interested in creating a narrative, with an eye for detail and enjoy experimenting with composition.
Exhibited at the degree show is a self initiated project called ‘The Art of Tease’. This brief grew out of an interest of pin up and burlesque art and photography, and the questions that arise from this including theories of sexual empowerment.
