I graduated “Tonitza” a fine arts high-school in my home town Bucharest, Romania with a scene design certificate. The passion for design went forward by following an interior design degree course at “ARU”.
“House for Elderly Couple”
The major project brief involved the design of a house for an elderly couple, one of which was supposed to have a disability. The house was incorporated in a complex of three attached two storey houses which led to designing all three of them. The clients I chose were people from the same family. One of the houses belonged to the elderly couple in question which are in their 80’s. The second and third house belonged to the relatives, a 60’ year old couple and a single 30’ year old woman.
The houses shared the same facade, main staircase and elevator. The layout of the floor plans and volume of the interiors made the houses different.
All three houses meet the specific requirements of all five clients and this reflects in the design of the space. One house is more art and colour inspired, the other was inspired by nature and travelling and the last by fashion and trend.
