Strength
One in four 16-20 year olds have been in an abusive relationship. (British Crime Survey 2009-10)
At the age of seventeen I was in a violent relationship. I was robbed of my self-confidence and was isolated from my friends and family. One night I was beaten and this piece is a response to this experience and the rediscovery of my strength.
While it took me four years to confront, I feel this piece has helped me to overcome this period in my life. I hope it encourages other young people to consider the power dynamics within their relationships.
My final also includes a Multimedia. 6min 43sec

I really like this project. After listening to the installation video, it really touched my heart. Very brave of you to put this together and very well done Sophie
