Tyfene Vally
In collaboration with Alexandra Ovtchinnikova, we planned to work on a film adaptation of Cervantes’s ‘Don Quixote‘ for our Major Project. It was an exploratory, rather than a practical project. We felt that the story was full of design potential, both in terms of costume and set.Like Shakespeare’s work, it is a well known piece of literature that deals with universal issues that can be reinterpreted in many different ways. Additionally, its’ popularity will make it easier for people to respond to the design decisions we took. Alexandra designed the costumes and I designed for the set.
