Computer Games & Visual Effects

The graduating students on Computer Games and Visual Effects at the Cambridge School of Art have successfully up taken the challenge to develop their practice both technically and creatively in their final year. There is a diverse array of inspiring work at this year’s degree show: animation that seamlessly integrates digital artwork with film, work that explores the possibilities of special effects in a creative context, ambitious approaches to digital character animation and the development of interactive games that give the player freedom to explore immersive worlds.

The steady rate of change in the areas of computer games and visual effects mean that artists should be adaptive and reflexive in their approach. The students have used these skills to actively engage in the interplay between technology and creativity. They should be proud of their achievements which are evident in the work displayed at the exhibition. I wish the students all the very best and every success in future. Congratulations.
